Description

Mutian Petney® II is the Mutian protocol supply for dogs living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). It is intended for dogs staged at IRIS (International Renal Interest Society) stage 2 through stage 4 — the stages where kidney function has measurably declined and day-to-day quality of life begins to suffer. The aim of the protocol is to ease the clinical symptoms of CKD, help protect the kidney function that remains, and reduce the risk of sustained worsening toward end-stage kidney disease (ESKD).

Petney® II is given as a once-daily oral tablet, with the number of tablets matched to body weight. In the source research the commonly used amount for dogs is one tablet per 10 kg of body weight once daily, with dogs up to 10 kg receiving one tablet; administration was not affected by food. Because CKD is a chronic, managed condition rather than a short illness, administration is intended to be lifelong and ongoing under the attending veterinarian's supervision, with periodic re-checks to confirm staging and adjust the surrounding care plan. Give the exact amount prescribed and only as often as directed; do not skip doses or stop the course without consulting your veterinarian. Petney® II supports management of the condition; it is not represented as reversing established kidney damage.

Petney® II is supplied as 10 mg tablets, 28 tablets per box, for use in dogs. The exact daily amount is set by the attending veterinarian on the basis of body weight and IRIS stage.

Petney® II should not be used in dogs with a known hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients. It should not be used in animals with diabetic ketoacidosis, or in animals with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or on dialysis. CKD is a common, progressive and irreversible condition in dogs; consult your veterinarian for help in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of CKD.

Technical details: active ingredient AC1901. Manufactured under GMP-certified conditions by Mutian Life Sciences. Petney® II is supplied for the ongoing observational management of CKD under veterinary guidance; outcomes are tracked as observational response over the management period rather than as a guaranteed cure.
