Petney

Petney® is the Mutian protocol supply for cats and dogs living with chronic kidney disease (CKD). It is intended for animals diagnosed at IRIS stage 2 through stage 4 — the stages where kidney function has measurably declined and day-to-day quality of life begins to suffer. The aim of the protocol is to ease the clinical symptoms of CKD, help preserve the kidney function that remains, and slow the progression toward end-stage renal failure.

Petney® is given as a once-daily oral tablet, with the strength matched to the species and body weight of the patient. Because CKD is a chronic, managed condition rather than a short illness, administration is intended to be lifelong and ongoing under the attending veterinarian's supervision, with periodic re-checks to confirm staging and adjust the surrounding care plan. Petney® supports management of the condition; it is not represented as reversing established kidney damage.

Petney® is supplied in two species-specific formulations: Petney® I CAT (5 mg, 28 tablets per box) for cats, and Petney® II DOG (10 mg, 28 tablets per box) for dogs. The veterinarian sets the exact daily amount based on weight and stage.
