Mutoral
Mutoral® for feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS). Two-phase oral protocol or once-daily injection.
$99.00
Description
Mutoral® is the Mutian protocol supply for feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS), a severe and painful oral inflammatory condition. Cats with FCGS develop mouth ulcers, reddened and swollen gums, periodontal overgrowth, persistent bad breath, and heavy salivation; the pain often makes eating difficult, leading to reduced appetite, lower activity, and weight loss. Mutoral® is intended to address this cluster of oral symptoms directly.
Mutoral® is used as part of a two-phase oral protocol. Phase 1 uses Mutoral® I (50 mg) at a higher initial frequency to bring the inflammation under control, followed by Phase 2 with Mutoral® II (100 mg) at a once-daily maintenance level for the remainder of the course; a typical oral schedule is two weeks of Phase 1 into ten weeks of Phase 2. A once-daily subcutaneous injection is available as an alternative for cats that are difficult to dose orally, with an 84-day course recommended. Concurrent steroids, cyclosporine A, and other immunosuppressants should be avoided during the protocol, and the attending veterinarian should re-assess the diagnosis if there is no improvement within the first one to two weeks.
Mutoral® is supplied as Mutoral® I tablets (50 mg, 14 per box) and Mutoral® II tablets (100 mg, 14 per box) for the oral protocol, and as Mutoral® injection (5 ml per vial, also offered in 3-vial packs). The dose is weight-based and is set by the attending veterinarian.
Technical details: manufactured under GMP-certified conditions. Mutoral® is supplied for use within observational FCGS protocols under veterinary guidance; outcomes are tracked as observational response over the course of the protocol rather than as a guaranteed cure.
