Spicy Fleur's Story

Spicy Fleur Spicy Fleur
Spicy Fleur checking in!! Its been a long time since I posted but Facebook has been reminding me that 2 years ago, Fleur was about two weeks into treatment for wet FIP. Some of you may remember her but for those that don't know her, she was in really bad shape when we started. She was about 4 months old and just over 3lbs. Wouldn't eat or drink and I was syringe feeding her every 3 hours. So weak she could barely lift her head to look up at me. Started going potty wherever she was laying because she just couldn't get the strength to get in the litter box. Her ears drooped over. Constant fever. She was on death's door. Thanks to a ton of supportive care and Mutian, she made an incredible turnaround and fleurished. Fever gone 8 hours after first dose. Day 2 was up walking around. Eating on day 7 by herself. Fluid started going down on day 8 and was gone two weeks later. Ears went back up. She became a porker by the end of treatment but she was alive and kicking FIP's butt and back to being full of tortitude! She made it through observation without relapsing and was officially called cured beginning of March 2020. Her and her sister, Amour (who was with her the whole time and never came down with FIP), were adopted by a wonderful family shortly after and are happy, healthy, and loved. To those just starting this journey, don't give up and don't lose hope!
