His name was Sweets. The first photos are of him. He survived a ditch fire at 5 weeks of age where his front paws and rear toes were burned off. The white on his face and missing fur on his nose were from the fire. The woman who "rescued" him then severely neglected him for the next 12 years during which he developed stomatits and was not treated for. I was asked to take him, was only told about his burns and nothing else. My vet and I discovered his mouth 3 days after he was given to me and during that first vet visit. I was livid but did everything for almost 2 years. Just when we thought his mouth had resolved my vets found the mass at the base of his tongue.
